Slater Designs Great White Twin Ibolic Volcanic

The Great White Twin is a high performance groveller with the paddle ability of a hybrid and the on-rail performance of a shortboard. It creates speed in weaker waves, controls speed in powerful waves and excels at tight arcs in punchy pockets and quick wraps on shoulder sections. The volume is hidden at the center with fine rails for dynamic response and quick reaction in the pocket. It's goal is to match the speed of a twin fin while offering the dynamic response of a thruster, the elevated tail rocker brings better response on your backhand.
This model is for high performance surfing like many of Kelly's other collabs but can still excel in everyday waves.
The Great White Twin has a hip by the the twin fin boxes to create a pivot point assisiting the fine rails to guarantee immediate response and quick reaction in the pocket. A third fin box sits in the center for a trailer allowing the board to become even more versatile.
The Volcanic Ibolic construction consists of a 1.5 lb EPS Foam Core with a 18 mm high denisity foam stringer in the core, 16mm high density foam parabolic rails to control flex and a 5mm high density foam springer on the bottom. Paired with Firewire's standard fiberglass lamination there is a 3mm high density composite deck skin sandwiched between the double 4 oz Basalt cloth layers and a single 4 oz Basalt cloth layer on the bottom, along with a 4oz Fiberglass Cloth layer on the deck and bottom.
The Ibolic core has the stiffness of the old LFT construction with the flex and spring-back of the Helium Technology. The I-Beam stringer ensures firmness underfoot and unparralleled break strength, while the parabolic rails enable flex and recoil through turns.
The Volanic Lamination paired with the Ibolic core offers a durable construction with elevated response.
